ANGIE THORNE

Enville, TN: Angela Louise Perren Thorne age 61, passed away May 18, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family and music she loved.

She was born August 2, 1961, in Rome, GA the daughter of the late Melvin Chris and Shirley Louise Owens Perren. She grew up in Smyrna, GA and was a 1979 graduate of Wills High School.

She married Neal Ray Thorne on May 22, 1982, and they made their home in several places as Neal was active in the U.S. Navy.

They moved to Henderson in 1995.

Angie worked at the U.T. Agricultural and Research Education Center in Jackson for the past twenty years as Administrative Assistant.

Her biggest passion was her family, and she especially loved her grandbabies.

She loved the Lord and was always praying for others. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and quilting. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

Mrs. Thorne is survived by her husband, Neal Ray Thorne of Enville; two daughters, Cheryl Dykstra (Garo) of Enville and Wendy Peery (Brian) of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Katherine Evans, Ace Evans, Nevaeh Dykstra, Zayden Dykstra, and Dax Peery; and two brothers, Rickey Perren (Fran) of Ackworth, GA and Tim Perren of Powder Springs, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phil Perren.

Memorial services will be 5:00 PM Thursday, May 25^th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating.  

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM service time Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
