Mrs. Carter passed from this life Friday, May 10, 2013, at her home in Oakland, TN.
She was a born in Ripley, MS, the daughter of L. C. McKelvey and Margaret Pearl Bevill McKelvey. She spent her early life in the Rogers Springs community and was a 1990 graduate of Middleton High School. On June 12, 1999, she married Tony Carter and they had lived in Oakland since 2001. Mrs. Carter was the owner of K&H Enterprises and a member of Warren Community Church. She loved hunting, flowers, gardening and particularly softball. She enjoyed playing the game and watching her daughter's team compete.
She leaves her husband, Tony Carter of Oakland; her daughter, Kaylie Carter of Oakland; her son, Hunter Carter, also of Oakland; her parents, L. C. and Margaret McKelvey of Rogers Springs; her sister, April Gayle McKelvey of Rogers Springs; her mother-in-law, Jeanette Carter of Lakeland; her father-in-law, Chuck Carter and his wife, Linda, of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandmother, Mary Geneva Bevill of Selmer; aunts, Mary Wilbanks, Bonnie McLain, Kay Pipkin Alsup, Sue Kennamore and Irene Rogers, all of Middleton and Gladys Gates of Ripley, MS.
