Andrew Jackson Keeton

Andrew Jackson (Jackie) Keeton was born August 10, 1936 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Johnathan Marshall Nelson Keeton and Pauline Wilson Keeton. He was united in marriage to Ora Nell Pollock on March 4, 1960 and she preceded him in death on November 28, 2004.



Mr. Keeton was a painter, a member of Painter's Local # 1293, and a member of the American Legion. He served in the Army of the United States.



Mr. Keeton departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 72 Years, 9 Months, 11 Days.



He is survived by sons, Charles Randel Keeton and wife, Johnna, and Roger B. Keeton and wife, Frances all of Iron City, TN; daughters, Dana M. Keeton of Columbia, TN and Della Jane Keeton of Iron City, TN; four grandchildren, Toby, Ashia, Paige, and Allison Keeton; brothers, Jimmy O. Keeton and wife, Barbara of Zip City, AL and Marshall R. (Pete) Keeton and wife, Linda of Iron City, TN; sisters, Betty Jo Rich of Zip City, AL, Clura Nell Keeton of Iron City, TN, and Thelma Ann Barkley and husband, Jimmy of Cypress Inn, TN; and nieces and nephews.



In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Keeton was preceded in death by tow grandchildren, Andy and Jamie Keeton.



Services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Roger Chapel Methodist Church in Zip City, Alabama, with Sonny Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Satruday, May 23, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN. His body will be placed in the church one hour before the services.
