Alton L. Lambert

ALTON L. LAMBERT



was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 20, 1928 the son of the late Hubert and Verdie Hutton Lambert.



On September 23, 1995 he was united in marriage to Hazel Brannon, who survives.



Mr. Lambert was a retired welder for Ace Trailer and Equipment and he also did farming. He was a member of White's Creek Freewill Baptist Church, a lifelong voting member of the NRA, and a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Lambert enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and he loved his dogs Lucy and Sadie.



He departed this life on April 2, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 13 days.



In addition to his wife, Hazel of Gillis Mills Community, he is survived by two daughters, Wanda Rucker and her husband David of Hernando, Mississippi and Barbara Thompson and her husband Wayne of Charlotte, Tennessee



one stepdaughter, Rita Patrick and her husband Bee of Florence, Alabama and one stepson, Ezra Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee



three sisters, Huberta Allen and Geneva Watson, both of the Walnut Grove Community and Linda Graves of Flint, Michigan



five brothers, Rayburn, Mac, Jack, Tommy and Jimmy Lambert, all of the Walnut Grove Community



seven grandchildren, Shelley Rucker, Bubba Rucker and his wife Melanie, Eron Rucker, Mandy Hudson and her husband Zach, Candace Sanders, Cory Sanders and his wife Abby and Courtney Woods and her husband Daniel



four great grandchildren, Grayson Rucker, Madelyn Rucker, Ryleigh Paige Rucker and Ashton Bryne Sanders



two step grandchildren, Rachel Patrick and Storme Alexander



In addition to his parents, Mr. Lambert was also preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Fox Lambert, one daughter, Rebecca Ann Lambert, one brother, Charles Lambert and two sisters, Louhazel Allen and Ginger Lambert



Services will be held on April 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee, with Jimmy McGee, Donnie Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County, Tennessee.
