Alma Jean Welch

Alma Jean Cookwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 23, 1931 the daughter of the late Frederick Lee and Myrtle Ethel Tacker Cook.On May 3, 1947 she married Daniel Welch, who preceded her in death on May 30, 2006.Mrs. Welch was a devoted wife, a loving, wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Church of God.Mrs. Welch departed this life on March 28, 2008 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, 5 days.She is survived by 2 sons: Jimmy Clark Welch and Jeffrey Lynn Welch both of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Peggy Jean Crotts and Sherry Joyce Russell both of Savannah, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren: Adam Welch, Jon Welch, Amy Ingle, Jennifer White, Susan Crotts, April Russell, Ken Russell, Shelley Benson; 6 great-grandchildren: Haylee Welch, Bryson Ingle, Wesley White, Sydney White, Lillie Benson, Zander Benson.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Daniel Welch, Jr. in 1983; 6 brothers: George Cook, Earnest Cook, Johnny Cook, Press Cook, Ledford Cook, Cecil Cook; 6 sisters: Josephine Cook, Ollie Hinton, Eura Bivens, Betty Cummings, Ella Mae Cook, Louise Bryant.
