Allene Annie Jacobs, 76, of Middleton, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was the widow of Carroll Jacobs, who died in 1972. Mrs. Jacobs was born December 9, 1930 in Mississippi, daughter of the late Robert E. and Mae Rixie Gates and lived all of her life in Middleton. She was a retired seamstress with the MasterSlack Corporation and a member of Essary Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margie Darling of Pocahontas and Bettie Jacobs of Middleton; two sons, Larry Jacobs of Corinth, Miss. and Wade Jacobs of Middleton; a sister, Mildred Bates of Middleton; four brothers, Eugene Gates of Corinth, Jewell Gates of Bolivar, Clarence Gates of Henderson and Robert Lee Gates of Middleton; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a six brothers and sisters.
