Alice Faye Burns, 55, of Moscow, Tenn. died Sunday, October 16, 2005 at her home.



The wife of Willie Edward Burns, who survives, she was a production worker with the Carrier Corporation for 26 years. She was born December 5, 1949 in Tippah County, Miss., the daughter of Florence Jackson James of Faulkner, Miss. and the late Charlie James and had lived in Fayette County since 1968. Mrs. Burns was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Moscow.



Services were 2 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. David Parlow officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.



In addition to her husband, whom she married September 6, 1968 and her mother, she is survived by two sons, Christopher Edward Burns of Rossville, Tenn. and Jason Bryan Burns of Moscow, Tenn.; three sisters, Helen Orman of Walnut, Miss.; Iris Hopkins of Hornsby, Tenn. and Arlene Hopkins of Faulkner, Miss.; three brothers, Edward James of Herriman, Tenn., Charlie James, Jr. of Holly Springs, Miss. and Benny James of Faulkner, Miss.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Emily May James and two brothers, J.W. and Jackie James.
