Alice "Mom" Borden

Alice "Mom" Borden of Selmer, TN departed this life on July 26, 2019 in Memphis, TN at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 6 Days. She was born on December 20, 1945 in Selmer the daughter of the late Otis and Opal Taylor Clifton. She was united in marriage to Paul Borden on September 5, 1959.

Mrs. Borden was a member of Second Baptist Church in Selmer. She owned and operated World of Music Record Store in Selmer in the early 1980's. She enjoyed riding horses, loved animals, and art. Most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband Paul Borden of Selmer; two daughters, Terresa Borden of Selmer and Paula Borden and wife Maggie of Selmer; a son, Terron Borden and significant other Joe of Selmer; a sister, Beverly Ann Clifton; two grandchildren, Holly Hodge and husband Tommy, Niki Vandiver and husband Scotty; three great grandchildren, Kayla Benjamin, Alyson Hodge, Trinity Vandiver; a grt-grt-grandchild, Alyce Stricklin along with a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Borden was preceded in death by an infant son, Lane Borden; two sisters, Norma Yancey and Wanda Turner.

There will be no public visitation prior to the funeral service for Mrs. Borden.
