ALFRED “ PAT “ JOHNSON
Pinson: Alfred Pat Johnson, age 74, died February 12, 2006, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital.
He was born and reared in Madison Co. of the Mason Wells Community, the son of the late Needom Franklin and Verdie Mae Jones Johnson. He went to school in Madison Co. and graduated from Pinson High School in 1948. He farmed as a young man and in 1951 was married to Ola Faye Ross of Henderson Co. They have made their home in the Mason Wells Community. Mr. Johnson farmed and also worked in maintenance for Piggly Wiggly, Procter and Gamble, and American Olean Tile where he became disabled in 1993. Mr. Johnson loved to raise walking horses and also trained some for himself.
He also liked to bird hunt. He was a member of Chester Co. Saddle Club and of the National Rifle Asso.
He is survived by his wife Faye Ross Johnson, a daughter Elesha Reid and husband John, a grandson Grant Reid.
He was preceded in death by a brother James Franklin Johnson in 1989 and a sister Betty Jean Johnson Moore in 1995.
