Albert Lee King

March 22, 1943 — July 22, 2008

Mr. King passed away Tuesday, July 22 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



Born March 22, 1943 to the late Earl Pace King and Minnie Bell Staggs King, he was a lifelong resident of Cloverport. On June 12, 1964 he married Joyce Ann Bennett and worked at Harmon for 35 years as well as for Finley Industries in Ohio and Chrysler in Oxford, MI.



He was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church where he was a Royal Ambassador Leader and member of the Senior Adult Merry Makers. He was involved with the “World Changers” and the “Disaster Relief” program of the Madison and Chester County Baptist Association and was a member of the Roeboon Sunday School Class. He was a charter member of the Toone Ruritan, a scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #93 in Toone, and was a vigil member, charter advisor and adult leader of the “Order of the Arrow” and received the “Silver Beaver” award.



In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Teresa Crumby and husband Joey of Savannah, Bonnie Elam and husband Jonathan of Bolivar, and Barbara Prine of Cloverport; a son, Dewayne King of Mercer; a sister, Earline Collins of Jackson; five grandchildren, Bethany and Brittany Crumby, Ashley DiAnn Elam, Will and Maddy Prine; a cousin, Tom King; 14 nieces, 22 nephews and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Alvin, Gilbert, Jim, Clyde, J.V., L.D. and Ray King; one niece and five nephews.
