Albert Gerald "Jerry" Hodge

Funeral Services for Mr. Albert Gerald "Jerry" Hodge, 77, of Olive Branch, MS will be at 12 Noon on Friday, September 27, 2019 in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home, 6815 Parkview Blvd, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery, 401 Orange Street, Bolivar, TN 38008. The family will receive visitors at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Mr. Hodge passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home.

A native of Middleton, he was born Sunday, July 26, 1942, the son of the late W. W. and Lilly Flora Herrington Hodge. As a young man, he left Hardeman County and joined the United States Air Force. While in service, he was stationed for a time in England and Turkey, working as an aircraft mechanic.

He married the former Carolyn Lax on Sunday, May 21, 1961 and they were married 58 years at his passing. Mr. Hodge was retired maintenance manager for Ozark Motor Lines and, in his leisure time, enjoyed working on computers and teaching his grandsons to maintain and fix their cars. He had lived the last 23 years in Olive Branch, MS.

He leaves as his survivors, his wife, Carolyn Hodge of Olive Branch; his son, Gerald Wayne Hodge and wife, Jennifer, of Olive Branch; his two grandsons, Nathan and Zachary Hodge, also of Olive Branch; his brother, Larry Hodge and wife, Phyllis, of Clifton, TN; and two nephews, Billy Hodge and wife, Kristi, and Ben Hodge, all of Nashville.
