Mrs. Baker passed away Wednesday morning, May 20 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Austin A. Baker, Jr. who died on August 13, 2006, she worked with her husband at Baker Manufacturing, Austin's Restaurant, Baker Garden Center and Bolivar Wood Products. She was born to Herbert Leon and Inez Marie Flowers Eddlemon and lived most of her life in Bolivar. She worked as an assistant Home Agent for UT Agriculture Extension Service for 8 years and as a home agent for 2 years and was active in the APTA and DAR. She attended Freed Hardeman University from 1953-55, graduating from David Lipscomb in 1957 and doing graduate work at UT Knoxville. Mrs. Baker was a member of Bolivar Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Austin Alexander Baker, III and Andrea of Somerville; two grandsons, Austin Alexander Baker, IV (Alex) and Andrew Lowell Baker; a sister, Mildred Armstrong and two brothers, James Boyd Eddlemon and Tommy Gene Eddlemon all of Lake County, Tennessee.
