April 28, 1932 — December 30, 2007

Mr. Murley was born in the Deanburg community of Chester County the son of the late Dolphus and Katie Maude Hornsby Murley. He attended Chester County Schools. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and served in Korea. He was married in 1954 to Esther Mae Weaver of Deanburg. They made their home in Jackson and later moved to Deanburg in 1977. He worked for Consolidated Aluminum in Jackson for 30 years, retiring in 1983. They had made their home in Jackson since 2006.

He had been a member of the Malesus Baptist Church and the Bethel Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and faithfully served in many other positions of the church as long as his health permitted.

In his early years he enjoyed coaching church league basketball and for many years coached the Malesus Community baseball teams. He always supported South Side High School sports and was a past president of the booster club. He enjoyed playing golf at Woodland Hills and in recent years especially liked playing golf with his sons and his nephew Clay Snider.

Mr. Murley will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His family especially will feel the loss of his presence but have comfort in knowing that he has gone to a better place, a place where he can walk with the Lord and dance in his presence as angels serenade him “welcome to Paradise.”
