Funeral services for Adell Pierce, age 87, Waynesboro, TN will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Shackelford Funeral Chapel, Waynesboro with Jimmy Turnbow and Barry Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Thursday from 8:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
Mrs. Pierce, a native of Anderson, AL, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at her home in Waynesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Virginia Goode; and husband S.W. Pierce, and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Pierce loved fishing, flowers, gardening and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a retired grocery store operator and a member of Green River Tabernacle.
She is survived by daughters, Virginia Whetstone and her husband Julian, Geraldine Hanback and her husband Carl all of Florence, AL, Debby Frazier of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Larry Pierce and his wife Glenda of Waynesboro, TN, Bobby Pierce and his wife Reba of Summertown, TN, Terry Pierce and his wife Rose of Carrollton, GA; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, L.B. Goode and a sister, Jane Story both of Birmingham, AL.
