Abner Anderson Vaughan

Abner Anderson Vaughan, 76, of San Antonio, Tex., died Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Methodist Heart Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.



The husband of Trinidad Estroso Vaughan, who survives, he was a Chief Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force for 30 years. Mr. Vaughan was born July 22, 1929 in Bolivar, son of the late Simon and Ollie Lois Kiestler Vaughan. He grew up in Bolivar and, during his military career, lived at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Okinawa, Fort Dix, NJ, and Korea before making his home in San Antonio 21 years ago. He was Baptist in belief.



Services were 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with James Smith officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery near Toone.



In addition to his wife, whom he married March 1, 1967, survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Joey Kathrina Aguirre and James Maldonado of San Antonio and Mary and William Emery of Lafayette, Ind.; one son, Edward Cardonita of San Antonio and five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Corey Aguirre and Triston and Rylan Emery. He was preceded in death by daughter, Gina Lynn Vaughan; sister, Laura Jordan and brother, Jewel Vaughan.
