A.R. (Junior) Harbin
was born in Olive Hill, Tennessee the son of the late Abe Harbin and Rosa Etter McMullen Harbin.
On July 15, 1950 in Oscoola, Arkansas he was united in marriage to the former Mary Exilee Garrard , who survives.
Mr. Harbin worked as a farmer and a logger. He was a member of the Piney Grove Church of Christ. During his life, Mr. Harbin had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee, St. Louis, Missouri, Steele, Missouri, Haywood County, Tennessee and Adamsville, Tennessee. He had also worked at Ford Motor Company, Winter Garden in Bells, Tennessee, L & M Tea in Jackson, Tennessee and Aqua Glass Corporation in Adamsville, Tennessee.
Mr. Harbin loved farming and did so all his life. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He departed this life on April 29, 2007 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 28 days.
Mr. Harbin is survived by his wife, Mary Exilee Harbin of Adamsville, Tennessee;
three sons: Dannie Gene Harbin of Adamsville, Tennessee, Jimmy Dale Harbin of Athens, Alabama and Johnny Alan Harbin of Adamsville, Tennessee;
one daughter, Mary Joyce Harbin Meek of Jackson, Tennessee;
thirteen grandchildren: Jennifer Dowty, Julie Montgomery, Brittany Howard, Jessica Hunt, Jason Harbin, Michael Harbin, Anthony Harbin, Valerie Barber, Candice Johnston, Mary Katherine Meek, Holly Harbin, Haley Harbin and Hayden Harbin;
seven great-grandchildren: Madison Montgomery, Tyler Montgomery, Jasmine Hunt, Antwalin Ragland, Brazos Case Barber, Ethan Johnston and Maya Johnston;
Four brothers: James Harbin, Benny Harbin and Paul Harbin, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Dexter Harbin of Adamsville, Tennessee;
Six sisters: Rachel Pruiett of West Plains, Missouri, Lena Wilkerson, Sally Jo Caldwell and Faye Harbin, all of Smithville, Tennessee and Sue Gray and Ann Austin, both of Savannah, Tennessee;
and two uncles: John McMullen and Paul McMullen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings:
Etta Mae Crain, Willie Dee Harbin, Cecil Harbin, Francis White, Mary Elsie Reed, Virgie Lee Harbin, Betty Pearl Goodman, Linda Harbin, Nancy Harbin and Andy Harbin.
