A. C. STIDHAM
Henderson, TN: A. C. Stidham age 74 passed away March 31, 2015 at Adamsville Healthcare.
He was born September 14, 1940 in Chester County and grew up in the Masseyville community, the son of the late Clyde Raymond and Alene Smith Stidham. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1959. He married Donna Mitchell in 1963 and worked for Brown Shoe Company for a time. He then went to work at Grinnell which was later Anvil for thirty-seven years.
He coached for thirty-five years in the Chester County Dixie Youth Association, served as District Director of Dixie Youth Baseball for twenty-five years and he also ran the clock for Chester County High School basketball games for twenty years.
A. C. and Donna were avid University of Tennessee sports fans and A. C. was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was a member of the Mitchell’s Chapel Baptist Church and had been Sunday School Superintendent and served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Mitchell Stidham and a daughter, Kim Stidham Ray and husband Jimmy of Henderson; a sister-in-law, Jo Stidham; a niece, Wendy Siler and great nephew, Drew Siler all of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Utah Stidham.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Glenn Harris and Jared Walters officiating and burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
