ZELLA MAE ROBINSON BECKHAM
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on May 4, 1919 the daughter of the late Orville Harper and Dora Ann Young Robinson.
On March 11, 1939 she was united in marriage to H. B. Beckham, who preceded his wife in death on October 22, 1992.
Mrs. Beckham retired from Savannah Manufacturing where she worked in the folding department. She also was a cafeteria worker at White's Elementary School for many years. She was a charter member of Double Springs Baptist Church and a 70 year member of the Whites Community Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Beckham was an avid gardener, growing both vegetables and flowers. Her beautiful gardens were admired by family and friends throughout the county. Preserving the vegetables from her garden brought her great joy. At an early age she developed a passion for needlework. Throughout her lifetime she made hundreds of quilts, cross stitch, embroidery and various other needle crafts. She was a gifted seamstress, making clothes for herself and her family. One of her favorite past times was getting together with ladies in the community for quilting bees.
Mrs. Beckham departed this life on October 8, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 4 days.
She is survived by her children, David Beckham and his wife Peggy of Savannah, Tennessee and Bettye Beckham Crow and her husband Charles of Savannah, Tennessee.

eleven great grandchildren, Emily Gray, Ryan Gray, Taylor Clayton, Trey Clayton, Chase Townley, Claire Townley, Cooper Townley, Harper Hunt, Annslee Cooksey, Trent Johnson and Ashley Johnson Jenkins
two great great grandchildren, Ethan Johnson and Jackson Johnson
one sister, Ruth Ann Baugus of Savannah, Tennessee
one brother, Joe Robinson of Brandon, Florida
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Orville D. and Robert Earl Robinson.
