Walt Pollard departed this life on September 1, 2014, at the age of 69 years, 2 months, 22 days.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on June 10, 1945, the son of the late Clarence Andrew and Lida Mae Hammond Pollard. On November 21, 1980, he was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Michael, who survives. Walt was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church and had been employed with Aqua Glass. He loved to fish, be outdoors, and loved spending time with his family. He always made sure his grandkids were over-fed.
Walt is survived by his wife,Gloria Pollard of Stantonville, Tennessee; children, Christopher Pollard of Seymour, Tennessee, Angela Pollard of Selmer, Tennessee, Crystal Sparks of Stantonville, Tennessee, Alan Cart, Jr. of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Jason Cart of Adamsville, Tennessee, Darla Browder of Biggersville, Mississippi, and Michael Pollard of Ohio; 19 grandchildren, Dakota Mancell, Jasmine Mancell, Conner Mancell, Serenity Howell, Bethanie Cart, Kelsea Cart, Tyler Cart, Andrea Cart, Brandi Dixie, Seth Cart, Ryan Sparks, Jr., Riley Sparks, Ryder Sparks, Amber Baswell, Briana Duncan, Hannah Pollard, Christopher Pollard, Billy Pollard, and Lacey Pollard; 3 great-grandchildren, Emma Baswell, Braylen Baswell, and Nathan Dixie; brothers, Tommy Pollard of South Carolina and Bucky Pollard of Ohio; sisters, Marie Harbor of Florida, Martha Atkins of Ohio, Betty of Arizona, and Barb of Ohio;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Destiny Garner; 7 brother and 3 sisters.
