Steven Wilbanks departed this life on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 66 years, 5 months, and 8 days. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 4, 1956, the son of Norma Wilbanks and the late Thomas Wilbanks.
For the past 6 years, Steven lived at Savannah Healthcare (AHC). Prior to that he lived at 420 Cobblestone Drive, Savannah, Tenneessee and was a member of First Baptist Church. Despite being hit by a car at age 4 and surviving having his neck broken twice (age 6 and 60), Steve always maintained a positive outlook on life. While physically impaired, Steve believed he could do anything from playing golf to bowling, both of which he loved. In his youth, he enjoyed woodworking, especially making wooden toys. Steve was a stamp collector as well as, a coin collector prior to his last incident. If you spent any time around Steve, you knew he was mentally sharp, very observant and quickwitted. If he was ever stumped or presented with something that caught him off guard, his "go to" response was "Well, good night".
Steven is survived by his mother, Norma Wilbanks of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Mike Wilbanks and his wife Ramona of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
In addition to his father, Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Wilbanks.
