Steve Manley, of Saulsbury, departed this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Baptist Hospital of Collierville.
He was born in Shelby County, the son of the late Gene Manley and Joan Welch and lived most all of his life in Hardeman County where he attended Grand Junction Elementary and Middleton High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Manley.
Mr. Manley was a self-employed automotive and diesel mechanic. In his leisure time, he enjoyed drag racing and watching old westerns on television.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Terry Kennon, whom he married on December 21, 1978; two sons, Casey Manley of Bolivar and Stevie (Donna) Manley of Byhalia, MS; one daughter, Crystal Dawn Epperson of Greenbrier, AR; three sisters, Lorrie Ray of Humboldt, Mindy Ray Scott of Hernando, MS and Jackie Manley of Grand Junction; two brothers, Waco Manley of Bolivar and Paul Manley of Grand Junction; two grandchildren, Richard "R. J." (Sierra Tice) Manley and Destiny Manley; one great-grandchild, Lylah Grace Manley, who is "on the way"; and his "fur grand-baby", Darla.
