Shirley McCarty, 78, of Savannah, TN went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 22, at Skyridge Hospital in Cleveland, TN. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Ollie Hudson. She was united in marriage to Ted McCarty, who preceded her in death.
She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She retired from Angelica Corporation after 30 years of service as payroll clerk. She volunteered with the Hardin Medical Center auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McCarty King; son in law, Paul King; and two grandsons, Dalton and Alex King; all of Cleveland, TN.
Memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church in Savannah, TN.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 1:00 PM at Shackleford Chapel in Savannah. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday. Burial will be held Sunday, April 26 at 1:30 PM at Elm Grove Cemetery in Murray, KY.
