Sandrea Blankenship, age 71 years young, from Toone Tennessee, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, March 6, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born in Memphis on Tuesday, April 8, 1947 to the late Willis Arnold Hinson and Florence Estelle Harrell Hinson. She retired as a sales representative for Wix Filters Corporation. She lived in Toone Tennessee for over 30 years where she was an active member of the Baptist Church and served as a City Alderman.
Sandi was the type of person who never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. She was always ready to help others with home-cooked dishes and enjoyed sharing recipes with family and friends. Sandrea was also a member of a book club, garden club, and participated in the Tennessee River run for the benefit of the Children’s Miracle Network out of Birmingham, Alabama. She enjoyed riding her Sea-Doo and scooter and she also enjoyed working with flowers and plants inside and outside. She lived life to the fullest right up until the very end. She was truly the best of the best.
She leaves her daughter April Tribur, and husband, Joe, of Buford, Georgia; her son, Wade Blankenship of Cloverport, Tennessee; her sisters, Donna Jo Williams of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Linda Renèe Mills, and her husband, Tommy from Hernando, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Dakota and Anna; two nieces, Ashlie and Amber; a nephew, Timmy; two great nieces, Madison and Taylor; and three great nephews, Ethan, Jacob and Cody.
Memorial donations can be sent to Hardeman Adoptable Animals, PO Box 513, Bolivar, TN 38008; or the Children’s Miracle Network, Birmingham, Alabama [http://www.childrensal.org]. These were a couple things that Sandi was very passionate about. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Sandi's life at her home on Monday March 11th, beginning at 12:00 - 7:00 pm.
