MELINDA FAYE STRICKLAND

Selmer, TN: Melinda Faye Strickland age 34 passed away Tuesday afternoon December 1, 2015 at her home.

She was born December 9, 1980 in Ann Arbor, MI the daughter of Albert Edgar and Donna Denise Morris Strickland. She grew up in McNairy County and attended McNairy Central High School. She worked in the deli at Piggy Wiggly and the Chow Wagon in Henderson as a cook. She loved spending time with her girls and was close to all of her family. She was saved November 14, 2015. She was a very humorous person and always made people laugh.

Melinda is survived by her daughters, MaKayla Nicole Strickland and Kaitlyn Jean Tilley both of Selmer; a grandchild, Rhaylynn Harper Thurmond; her Father and Mother, Albert and Donna Strickland of Henderson; two brothers, Michael Edgar Strickland and Richard Leslie Strickland both of Henderson; a niece, Addison Paige Strickland and three nephews, Weston Blake Strickland, Avon Martin Strickland and Richard Lain Strickland.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday December 4, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Michael Rickenbaker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Finger, TN.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Thursday.
