Maurice Theodore Paul Bernier

Maurice Theodore Paul Bernier, Sr. was born December 1, 1927 in Central Falls, RI, the son of the late Theodore Bernier and Emma Shank Bernier.

Maurice was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Savannah, TN. Faith in God was very important to him. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Maurice was a true Entrepreneur. From service stations, restaurants, Dairy Farming to Master Mechanic, commercial artist, he held many titles and positions. He could do or build anything he set out to accomplish. He was a true patriarch of his family in every regard. Many family members and friends would look to Maurice for advice in business or personal life. He was a simple, humble, and quite man with knowledge that would surprise you. He was a great artist with a love for life and was willing to help anyone at any time. A great mentor for many, Maurice will be missed!

Mr. Bernier departed this life on December 8, 2022 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 6 Days.

He is survived by the love of his life, Irene Benfeito Bernier; their children: Sallie Emma Bernier, Sandy Diane Mercier and husband Paul; Bryant Bernier, Jeffrey Bernier and wife Cathrine, Michael Paul Bernier and wife Lisa Anne, Maurice Theodore Paul Bernier Jr. and wife Amanda, Warren Alves; grandchildren: Kyle Bernier, Krystine Rachel, Emma Bernier, Jacob Bernier, Michael Bernier Jr , Alysha Bernier, Buck Bernier, Travis Bernier, Paulie Mercier, Cheyenne Bernier, Brett Bernier, Shawn Bernier, Andrea Grace Bernier, Henry Alves Jr., Mary Alves, Bruce Alves, Jessica Alves; a sister, Joan Carrier; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bernier was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Bernier; two sons, Henry and Joseph Alves; eight brothers: Marius Bernier, Dominateur Bernier, Norman Bernier, Roger Bernier , Clement Bernier, Antoinette Letourneau Theodore Bernier, Jeanne D’Arc Carrier and Raymond Bernier.
