Martha Nell Crowe

Martha Nell Crowe of Bethel Springs, TN was born October 3, 1929 in Bethel Springs the daughter of the late Albine and Mary Myrtle Robinson Kernodle. Mrs. Crowe departed this life on December 3, 2019 in Selmer, TN at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months. She was united in marriage to Earnest Hardin Crowe on June 7, 1947. Mr. Crowe preceded her in death on January 30, 1990.

Mrs. Crowe was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church and occasionally attended Bethel Springs Presbyterian Church. She was a Homemaker and formerly worked at Norco Spring Company and Turner Tomato Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting with the Needles and Pins Quilting Club, reading, eating ice cream, talking on the phone, working in her yard, tending her flowers, gardening, and faithfully visiting her friends in the nursing home.

Mrs. Crowe is survived by a son, Joe Murrel Crowe and wife Carolyn of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Coleen Bratton and husband Nicky of Bethel Springs, TN; two grandchildren, Justin Crowe and wife Julie of Knoxville, TN, Summer Adams and husband Kyle of Melbourne, FL; four great grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Seth Adams, Jennifer Franks, Misty Crowe; four great great grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Alice Chandler of Memphis, TN; a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by a grandchild, Anthony Crowe; six sisters, Minnie Lee Baucum, Loreda Tull, Maggie May, Mae Ola Whitten, Daphine Gilbert, Betty Sue Johnson; a brother, John David Kernodle.
