Junior Shook was born on November 11, 1950 in Mississippi, the son of the late James Finley and Mavis Louise McKee Shook.
On July 5, 1969, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Hindman, who survives.
Junior honorably served his country in the United States Army from February 1970 until 1971. He was later employed doing maintenance at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course for 20 years until his retirement. Junior enjoyed golfing and was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Shiloh, Tennessee.
Junior Shook departed this life on August 15, 2022 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 4 days.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Shook of Michie, Tennessee; son, James Steed Shook of Michie, Tennessee; sisters, Kathy Wallace and Sherry Freeno, both of Iuka, Mississippi; and granddaughter, Brittany Jean Shook.
In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mark McKee, Nettie McKee, Bolivar Shook, and Lillian Shook.
