Jeffery (Dave) David Pettigrew

Jeffrey David (Dave) Pettigrew was born July 13, 1965 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Joe David and Dorothy Jean Jones Pettigrew.

Dave grew up in the Gilchrist Community of McNairy County along with his siblings. He started driving an 18-wheeler at the age of 12, traveling from Tennessee to California. He loved being on the road and meeting new people along the way.

A devoted family man, Dave loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and siblings. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his grandchildren.

Dave departed this life on December 30, 2022 in Hardin County, Tennessee at the age of 57 Years, 5 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his sons, Cole Pettigrew and wife Brittany, Dalton Pettigrew, Garrett Pettigrew and partner Tess Smith, Preston Pettigrew and partner Shay Frye, Weston Pettigrew; wife and mother of his children, Tammy Pettigrew; six grandchildren, Reid Pettigrew, Rylee Pettigrew, Ty Smith, Paisley Pettigrew, Camdynn Pettigrew, Robert Umstead Jr.; stepchildren, Shelby and Garrett Maness;

two sisters, Mitzi (Pettigrew) Mitchell, Leigh (Pettigrew) Evans and husband David Lynn; a brother, Marty Pettigrew and wife Michelle; uncle, Sammy Jones; aunt, Betty Stocks;

nieces and nephews, Blake Mitchell, Jill Smith Keen, Madison Pettigrew, Morgan Pettigrew, Daniel Pettigrew, Jay Pettigrew, Montana Pettigrew, and Megan Moore and husband Michael;

great nieces and nephews, Mekenzi Mitchell, Luke Keen, Halle Kate Keen, Trace Mitchell, Jagger Mitchell, Joseph Pettigrew, Thomas Pettigrew, and Kaley Pettigrew;

great great nieces and nephew, Annysten Reese, Tuck and Stevie Klayr Mitchell; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by brother, Clay Pettigrew; brother-in-law, Steve Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Alene Chambers Pettigrew; maternal grandparents, Zelford Clyde and Artie Lee Nixon Jones.
