Donna Sue Butler

Donna Sue Butler, 63, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Florence Nursing and Rehabilition. She was born December 31, 1952 in Lauderdale County to Elvin and Irma Ruth Balentine Butler.

Donna lived her entire life in Lauderdale County and was a member of Community Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from the University of North Alabama after eighteen years, working as a secretary in the Publications Department and as a typesetter for the Diorama.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Elvin Butler. She is survived by her mother, Irma Ruth Butler; two brothers, Dennis and wife Sheila, Mark and wife Leonna; a sister, Debbie Borden and husband Jeff; nieces Kristie Dodd and fiancée Jamie Cain, Kassie Sparks and husband Eric, and Karen Mehrotra and husband Saurabh; and nephew Chad Butler and wife Rachael.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 Saturday and from 2:00-3:00 Sunday, with funeral following at 3:00 Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN, with Brother Malcolm Scott and Brother Gerald Montgomery officiating. Interment following in Railroad Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge. Pallbearers will be Chad Butler, Saurabh Mehrotra, Eric Sparks, Jeff Borden, Danny Mock, and Jamie Cain.
