Cassie Tidwell
Heaven has gained its brightest, shining star. Cassie Johnson Tidwell departed this life on March 30th, 2022 after a long battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends.
Cassie was a graduate of Adamsville High School in 2005. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Memphis and was employed as a Registered Dietitian for Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. She attended First United Methodist Church in Savannah, TN.
Cassie had a soul and spirit so full of light that it could brighten even the darkest of days. After receiving a diagnosis that would dishearten many, she continued to live her life with the freest and fullest spirit. She kept laughing, listening to music, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and loving her husband and precious baby boy.
She leaves behind so many that admired her and were inspired by her journey. She is survived by her devoted husband, Josh Tidwell and son Greer; her loving father and step-mother, Phil and Jenifer Johnson; two brothers, Jacob Johnson (Alyce) and Evan Johnson; maternal grandparents Gerald and Pattye Ingle; in-laws Steve and Lisa Tidwell, six nephews and two nieces, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cristy Ingle, and paternal grandparents Gordon and Bettye Johnson.
A celebration of her life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Savannah, TN. Her family will receive guests for visitation on Saturday, April 2nd from 5 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening. Her funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Savannah, TN on Sunday at 3 o’clock in the afternoon followed by a graveside service at Porter Cemetery in Savannah, TN.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Little Pink Houses of Hope and Lifeline Pilots, two organizations of which she was greatly fond of.
