Mrs. Lambert died Monday morning at her home in Bolivar.
A native of Memphis, she was reared in the Hornsby area before moving to Bolivar where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Homer Earl Smith and Virginia Charlene Hodge Smith. On July 14, 1964 she was united in marriage to Mr. Bobby Joe Lambert and were married for 39 years before his passing on December 12, 2003. Mrs. Lambert was employed by Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar for 37 1/2 years. She began her career as a physical therapist and retired as a member of the administration staff of the hospital. A life-long member of the Bolivar First Baptist Church, she was active in the Sunday School program. Mrs. Lambert was a 1966 graduate of Bolivar Central High School.
She leaves as her survivors, two sons, Rex Lambert of Jackson and Mark (Tammy) Lambert of Medon; a brother, Robert Earl (Susan) Smith of Cincinnati, OH; and one granddaughter, Stacey Lambert (Brian) O'Neal of Enville.
