ANNIE LEE ‘LOUISE’ GRIFFIN

Henderson, TN: Annie Lee “Louise” Blankenship Griffin age 87 passed away November 5, 2015 at her home.

She was born August 23, 1928 in Chester County, the daughter of the late David Allen and Ethel White Blankenship. She went to school at Montezuma and married W.N. Griffin September 20, 1946 and they made their home in Henderson. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry for many years retiring in 1990 and began babysitting after that. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband, W.N. Griffin of Henderson; two sons, Gary Lynn Griffin and wife Lonna of Hobbs NM and Allen Griffin and wife Sandy of Snowflake, AZ; grandchildren, Bill Griffin (Kimberly) of Hobbs, NM, Lee Marx (Werner)of Kingwood, TX and Deanna Conners of Henderson; great grandchildren, Haylee Conners and Colton Conners both of Henderson, Ashlyn Griffin of Tatum, NM, Ethan Marx of Kingwood, TX, Ave Griffin of Tatum, NM and Lauren Marx of Kingwood, TX and a great-great grandchild, Lakelyn Howard of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, J.E. Blankenship.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday November 9, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Les Keen officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel beginning at 12 Noon on Monday until 2 PM service time on Monday.
