Connie Eugene (Doc) Allison

Mr. Connie Eugene (Doc) Allison departed this life on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Helen Keller Hospital,Sheffield, AL at the age of 75 Years, 2 Months, 6 Days. He was born December 28, 1941 in Florence, AL, the son of the late Raymond Andrew and Bamma Inez Ingram Allison. In addition to his parents, Mr. Allison was preceded in death by brothers, Marcus Andrew and Harve Allison; sister, Lois Smith; great-granddaughter, Addie Lynn Lopp. He married Shirley Jean Riedout on April 6, 1962 and was a retired dye tub operator at Tee Jay's Manufacturing.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Allison, sons, Michael Allison, wife Mary Ann and Gregory Allison all of Cypress Inn, TN; daughter, Pamela Staggs, husband, Reuben, Jr., Florence, AL; grandchildren, Brandon Allison, Sr., wife, Victoria, Leah Price, husband, Roman, Chelsea Lopp, husband, Skylar, Cody Allsion, Austin and Harlie Staggs, great-grandchildren, Mica, Easton and Brayden Lopp, Parker Price, Brandon Allison, Jr.; brothers, Vernon Allison, wife, Liz of Florence, AL, Rayburn Allison, wife, Carolyn of Waterloo, AL; sisters, Lucielle Clemons and Sandra Baskins both of Florence, AL and Gertrude Wright of Cypress Inn, TN and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Bobby Riedout, Tim Allison, Jamie Victory, Skylar Lopp, Austin Staggs and Roman Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Allison, Warren Riedout and Kevin Kilburn.

Visitation will Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
